All You Need is Love

Guess where we have been? In the city of Love – Venice! Since I was reunited with my most beloved humans, my mom and dad decided to include Venice into our travel tour. Of course I knew nothing about Venice. But my mom explained that it is a “ must-see” for all lovers! Venice is full of canals which are used for transporting people and goods – so there are no cars on the streets! Wonderful for dogs and humans, although green areas for doggies to play and do their business are rare! But the ancient palazzo and buildings that date back many centuries compensate and are just beautiful to watch and stroll around. I even had a drive with a water taxi and could enjoy Venice from the water in one of the countless gondolas – how romantic is that?!

My mom also explained to me that Venice is likewise famous for excellent food. Mom and dad enjoyed a fabulous lunch at “La Caravella” where I got an exquisite bowl of water! The waiters were extremely friendly to me – I can feel that the Italians are true dog lovers! And since I am a good-looking dog, I was photographed a lot of times by tourists when we were visiting St. Marks Square where we sipped delicious cappuccino at “Florian”, the oldest coffee house in Italy and one of the oldest in the world. Numerous celebrities were attracted by the “Florian”, amongst others one of the alleged greatest lovers in history, Casanova (most likely because the “Florian” was the only coffee house that allowed women at that time).

Notwithstanding the rainy weather we had to face the first day, Venice took our hearts with its compelling charm!
