When I started the trip, I knew nothing about camping, leave alone driving a camper. I have never been to Slovenia before, and visited Croatia only as a child when it was part of former Yugoslavia. The North of Italy was unknown to me as well. Although being active with Geeny, we did not hike together yet. So everything was new, and everything turned out to be a positive surprise!
We got used to camping and handling the camper very quickly. Slovenia, Croatia and the North of Italy are extremely dog-friendly, and it was never a problem to visit restaurants with Geeny. The nature in all the countries was just stunning and perfect for hikes. But most of all: Geeny surprised me every day! She became an enthusiastic hiker with a reliable instinct for the correct way. She learned to patiently wait for me in front of the shower and toilet buildings on the campsites and even in front of supermarkets. Watching her enjoying the nature and being outside all the time opened my heart and gave me all the satisfaction and life-balance I was looking for. Her affection and loyalty is unbeatable! She is the dog-love of my life!

Also big thanks to my team back at work who enabled me to be absent from the office for such a long time. My dream of a road trip with my beloved Geeny could not have been realized without you!
