Even though Cannobio was our last station of the trip, we had very nice stop overs on our travel back to Amsterdam. First we went to visit friends of my mom in Parpan/Lenzerheide (Switzerland). I already was there last winter when my mom went skiing, and I could run in the snow. This time, we made beautiful hikes in cold, but sunny weather. The air smelled after a mixture of hay, cows and forests – wonderful and healthy! The tips of the mountains were already covered with snow which gave a stunning contrast to the blue skies. I felt very comfortable!

We then travelled further to my mom’s home village in Hochstetten (close to Karlsruhe) to visit my mom’s sister. I had a very important task there: to watch over a family of five (plus my mom) – believe me, I was extremely busy! But my mom’s sister’s family is lovely, and I got lots of attention and petting. We made some nice walks at the river Rhine and a day trip to the “Deutsches Weintor” in Schweigen and Wissembourg – a really pretty city in the Alsace!

But all the good times come to an end. We ultimately had to travel back to Rösrath to bring back the camper which was our home for nearly two months. It was a fantastic journey and I feel very grateful that I could spend so much quality time with my mom. Thanks, mom, for this great trip! I am a very, very lucky doggy!
