My mom got a surprise for me! A late birthday present, she told me (on 28 September 2025, I turned 5 years old – I am now a big girl!): on the way from the island Pag to Plitvice lakes, we picked up my dad at Zagreb airport! I was happy like hell (don’t get me wrong, I love my mom very much, but having two of my most favorite humans around me is just heaven). Since then, I keep the two of them busy – hehehe!

The Plitvice lakes are beautiful! They are in one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia and on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The lakes are all connected by waterfalls which is extremely picturesque. My sniffer could explore a lot of new smells (approx. 75% of the Flora is native), and I was hoping to make friends with a brown bear or at least with one of my ancestors, the grey wolf, which both live in the area of the national park, but I was not lucky. Instead, we found lots of tourists (despite the off-season), and I was a bit stressed by them. Hence, we only made a smaller hike in the park. Since this was not enough for my mom, we hiked back from the park to our campsite which gave us a beautiful impression of the off-tourist area of the park! And much to my delight, we found lots of cats to chase on our way back! After so much exercise and “cat fun”, I was hungry like a wolf and got rewarded with a big bone.
